King Nebuchadnezzar was full of pride.
He still wasn’t on God’s side.
He refused, to humble himself down.
God showed him, who really wears the crown.
Nebuchadnezzar had had another crazy dream,
one that would make anyone want to scream.
He wanted to know the dream, to him it was urgent.
So, the dream Daniel did interpret.
Until the king’s pride decreased. For seven years, he was a wild beast.
He was cast aside from all his kingdom, not just a few. And his body was drenched, in Heaven’s dew.
His hair and his nails grew. He had feathers like an eagle, and claws like a bird.
Though that might sound absolutely absurd. That’s what had happened, that’s what occurred.
Until the seven years passed. Just like an ox, he ate the grass.
Alas, the seven years had passed, and he was no longer eating grass.
For the king’s mind, God did restore. Then he glorified the Highest, who lives forevermore.
